The Good Energy Initiative is a task force established by the Heschel Center for
Environmental Learning and Leadership - a major environmental NGO in Israel.
We act to reduce GHG production and emissions, and to support energy independence for Israel
by means of energy efficiency and alternative technologies.
Our methods include voluntary carbon offsetting for local and foreign organizations,
and our toolbox encompasses a portfolio of projects for eliminating source GHG production.

The GEI is a social venture investing revenues in non-profit social/environmental
activities, and it is the only active voluntary carbon offsetting body in Israel.
Our expertise stem from a longstanding involvement in igniting and implementing environmental
changes in local and regional councils, in biodiesel production, using and selling,
and in waste management methods, benefits and barriers. We cooperate with leading experts
in the fields of solar electricity R&D and installment, biodiesel production, waste management,
and afforestation.
